VIDEOS FROM THE WEBINAR CAN BE FOUND HERE

Join us online Sunday, July 5 at 2:00 p.m. for a free webinar exploring “Coronavirus as Wisdom Teacher.” Center for Spiritual Wisdom will bring together writers, teachers, and activists from our region to address how the pandemic might, paradoxically, bring profound wisdom and transformation to those seeking them.

The COVID-19 pandemic apparently will be with us through this year and well into 2021. Although some people see it as a once-a-century plague fully explainable by science and global development, others are beginning to think of the pandemic as an opportunity to explore deeper truths about ourselves, our communities, and our world. Might we even go so far as to say the coronavirus is, paradoxically, a teacher of wisdom?

Our panel of presenters will include Ven. Dr. Pannavati of Heartwood Refuge (Buddhist teacher & service leader), Dr. Jim Nourse (spiritual mentor & author), Rev. Dr. Carter Heyward (priest & author), Judith Nourse (consultant & healer), and Mary Marinucci (psychoanalytic psychotherapist). Each panelist will address the topic from his or her own perspective. There will be an opportunity for participants to ask questions and hear answers from the panel.

The 90-minute webinar will take place online using Zoom video conferencing. Participants must register by Saturday, July 4 at 12 Noon in order to receive a link that will admit them to the event online. (Register by sending an email here.) There is no charge for registration or participation, and donations will be gratefully received from those willing to donate to the Center, a non-profit organization.
