Join fellow seekers as we explore The Universal Christ by Richard Rohr during a 7-week group learning experience. The series will take place on Wednesday afternoons from Feb. 19 through April 1, meeting from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Elk Haven Wellness Center in Brevard.
The subtitle of the book points to its breadth and depth: How a Forgotten Reality Can Change Everything We See, Hope for, and Believe. Publishers Weekly says The Universal Christ invites readers to “bring together their thinking about Jesus and Christ in order to recognize God in the world around them . . . Rohr’s innovative reflections will inspire readers to think deeply about the nature of God.”
This series is recommended for Christians who want to deepen their faith and broaden their spiritual horizons. It’s also recommended for Christians “in exile”, and all seekers who find meaning in the story of Jesus of Nazareth.
Drawing on the book and a learning guide, participants in this series will experience in-depth discussions, peer learning, and group spiritual practices. Group size will be limited to insure a high-quality experience for all participants. Rob Field, director of Center for Spiritual Wisdom, will coordinate and lead the series. In addition to his work at Center for Spiritual Wisdom, Rob is a spiritual guide and teaches World Religions at Brevard College.
Tuition for the series is $199 per person, which includes 7 sessions of group facilitation, a copy of the learning guide, and all additional materials. Participants are asked to commit themselves to attend at least 5 of the sessions.
Payment may be made now at our Donations & Registrations page, and will be due by the end of the first session on Feb. 19. Pre-registration is required to reserve a space on a first-come, first-served basis. To register or receive additional information, please send an email by Feb. 17 to director@center4spiritualwisdom.org
