Join us on Thursday, April 17, 7:00 – 9:00 pm, Eastern, for the next Reel Spirit Movie Project installment with an online discussion of the documentary A Case for Love inspired by the teachings and writings of Bishop Michael Curry and his sermon “The Power of Love”.
“I knew I would like this film when I saw the theatrical release last year in Asheville. I didn’t expect to be moved so deeply, reminded so clearly, that love is indeed the answer to our social malaise,” remarked Terry Decker, discussion facilitator. “It is just a special movie at a special time in our nation and across the world. Even the tagline hits home, ‘YOU DECIDE’”. IMdB rates this film a 9.6 out of 10.
There will be a special in-person screening of A Case for Love in cooperation with Brevard’s Co-Ed Cinema, Brian Ide and Grace Based Films, on Monday, April 14, at the Co-Ed Cinema at 6:30 pm. You can register separately for the live screening HERE.
However, you don’t need to attend the in-person event to participate in the Zoom discussion on April 17. You can stream A Case for Love on several platforms prior to the discussion.
CSW Associate Terry Decker is the facilitator for A Case for Love. He is a Brevard resident who loves movies and volunteers his time and talent to the Center. He is a repeat facilitator for The Reel Spirit Movie Project and A Little About A Lot. He has years of experience leading groups in education, non-profit, religious, and technical forums.
There is no fee to participate in this two-hour discussion. However, donations to Center for Spiritual Wisdom will be gratefully accepted. A suggested donation of $8 or more per discussion will help us continue to offer this and similar events.
