(followed by refreshments & conversation)
Center for Spiritual Wisdom is pleased to host a donation-based, in-person screening of Gratitude Revealed on Monday, March 13 from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. at the Co-Ed Cinema in downtown Brevard. Immediately following the screening, the Center will host a discussion of the film over complimentary refreshments, including wine & cheese.
This is the Center’s second collaboration with the Co-Ed to bring to the community films that celebrate the human spirit. Viewing Gratitude Revealed is an immersive experience, highlighting Director Louie Schwartzberg’s highly respected cinematography techniques (seen also in his acclaimed film Fantastic Fungi). Through stories and interviews from around the world, the movie explores gratitude’s vital role in our lives and how gratitude builds resilience, gives purpose, and provides health benefits in troubled times.
Schwartzberg is an award-winning cinematographer, director, and producer whose career spans more than four decades. Schwartzberg previously directed the award-winning film, Fantastic Fungi (narrated by Brie Larsson), the 3D IMAX film, Mysteries of the Unseen World (National Geographic, narrated by Forest Whitaker) and others. Gratitude Revealed proves to be just as beautiful and meaningful.
Reviews of Gratitude Revealed are glowing. The Spiritual Media Blog wrote that Gratitude Revealed “is a rich visual tapestry interweaving breathtaking images of the natural world with extraordinary stories of ‘ordinary people.’” The San Francisco Examiner writes that Gratitude Revealed is a “documentary to thwart the bad habit of negative thinking.” You can find additional information at gratituderevealed.com.
There is no fee for this event. However, donations to Center for Spiritual Wisdom, a non-profit 501 (c) (3) tax-exempt organization, will be gratefully accepted. A suggested donation of $10 or more will help cover the rental of the Co-Ed Cinema and help the Center fund this and other unique programming. Donations can be made online at the time of registration or at the door.
