A Tibetan Buddhist monk, Khentrul Rinpoche teaches that regardless of what’s unfolding in our lives, our route to freedom lies in our mind. He is the abbot of Mardo Tashi Choling in Eastern Tibet, where he established a retreat center and a monastic college. He has spoken at Harvard and Oxford universities, as well as many other places in the world. His new book The Power of Mind is a modern and accessible guide to the Buddhist practice of lojong, or mind training that helps us transform suffering and mental unrest into well-being for the benefit of all. T’hayé has always held the approach of love, compassion, and applicable wisdom to be the foundation of the path. He has found these techniques the most practical for taming the modern mind. He teaches these practices to his students, as a lifeline in these turbulent times.

Khentrul Rinpoche, a dynamic public speaker, teaches how to transform difficult circumstances through simple, direct and powerful techniques for working with our mind to change our experience. Although he is Buddhist, this will not be a religious talk. The principles he will share are applicable to all people, regardless of background.

Rinpoche states, “Peace and happiness can be attained, but not by searching for something in the outside world. They start within us then extend out to the entire globe.”
