Join us for a weekend Centering Prayer retreat in early November in Cedar Mountain, only 12 miles from downtown Brevard. The location is the Sassy Goose, a beautiful and secluded retreat property close to DuPont Recreational Forest. The Sassy Goose features comfortable accommodations surrounded by acres of undeveloped forest, with walking trails and a lovely lake.
The retreat will begin the afternoon of Thursdday, Nov. 9 at 4:00 p.m. and conclude Sunday, Nov. 12 at 11:00 a.m. There will be multiple periods of Centering Prayer, group discussions, and related spiritual practices, accompanied by simple, nutritious meals. The retreat will alternate between periods of silence and contemplative conversation.
DOUBLE OCCUPANCY DISCOUNT: Bedroom space is limited at the Sassy Goose, so we’re offering a deep discount for two people willing to share a bedroom and bathroom — just $825 for two, including room, board, and administrative fee. This is an ideal arrangement for partners, spouses, and good friends willing to share a bed. Single attendees are welcome, and will enjoy a bedroom and bathroom of their own with, plus all meals and administrative fee for $499.

Centering Prayer is a form of contemplation or meditation, drawing on the rich heritage of monastic spirituality. The retreat will be led by CSW Director Rob Field (photo below). Rob is certified by Contemplative Outreach (founded by Fr. Thomas Keating) as a Centering Prayer presenter. Rob has led numerous Centering Prayer workshops, retreats, and weekly groups over the past 15 years. Registrations are now open, and will be strictly limited due to the capacity of the retreat facility.
