Join this 6-week series on loss,
with author, psychologist and TEDx speaker
Healing Grief will be an interactive and experiential learning series. The goal of the program is for participants to develop practical strategies for managing end-of-life grief (and grief in life). We will explore the personal insights, meaning and spiritual lessons of grief; the religious responses and experiences that emerge during our most vulnerable challenges; and strategies to maintain our groundedness. The sessions begin Tuesday, Oct. 13 and will meet each Tuesday from 2:00 to 4:00 PM through Nov. 17.
All who register will receive a copy of Lani’s book No One Has to Die Alone: Prepar
ing for a Meaningful Death. Her intention for the series is to help participants become more resilient and compassionate with their personal grief and equip them to support others who grieve. During the series, the group will use the book, questions for personal reflection at home, and experiential exercises to supplement interactions with Lani and fellow participants.
In addition to being a published author, Dr. Leary is a psychotherapist, end-of-life and trauma specialist, and grief columnist with more than 35 years of experience. She has served as a hospice counselor, trainer, hospital chaplain, and death doula for more than 1,500 patients. Watch Lani’s 15-minute TEDx talk HERE.
Registration will be limited to the first 15 participants. Two tuition options are offered: Admission Plus $179.00 (covers program cost & underwriting donation) or Basic Admission $129.00 (program cost only). Meeting location: Pardee Family Medicine Center conference room, 277 N. Broad St., Brevard, N.C.
