Low Anthropology
New Book Study April 20 – May 18
Five week book study/discussion
led by CSW Associates Paula Benton & Betsy Perry
Begins Thursday, April 20 — 3:00 to 4:30 p.m.
Join us for CSW’s next book study: Low Anthropology, a 5-week discussion series starting April 20 — this time, in person! Co-leaders Paula Benton and Betsy Perry will guide the group, delving into the new book by David Zahl called Low Anthropology. The group will meet at St. Philip’s Church in Brevard on Thursday afternoons from 3:00 to 4:30 p.m. Eastern.
The subtitle of this fascinating book says it all: The Unlikely Key to a Gracious View of Others (and Yourself). And how is this ‘gracious view’ presented? By suggesting that perhaps it is time to stop being so perfectionistic, striving, expecting others to adhere to our demands. How can this be done? By humanizing our own expectations of ourselves. Zahl’s Christian perspective is sure to generate a range of thoughtful responses, which Paula Benton (below, left) and Betsy Perry (below, right) will be pleased to welcome.
The cost for this 6-week series is $49 per person (regular admission), or at registration you can choose Admission Plus for $79 (which helps support this and other CSW events). Group size will be limited to 15 registrants to insure the opportunity for full participation by the group.
